Celebrating with Israel - 61st Birthday by David Silver

Next Wednesday, the air above the nation of Israel will be infused with the aroma of burning wood and grilling meat. April 29th is Yom Hatzmaut (Independence Day), that remembers the momentous world changing event that occurred on May 14th 1948 – the resurrection of the nation of Israel after 1900 years of non-existence. Each year since May 1948 Yom Hatzmaut has been a national holiday in Israel. This year will be no different and almost every family will be celebrating with friends around the barbecue or a picnic at the beach.
The Jewish people have something to celebrate! Just the fact that they are alive to celebrate is a miracle and an amazing testimony to the faithfulness of God. Yes, 6 million Jewish people perished at the hands of Hitler’s Nazis, but it could have been much worse if Hitler had been allowed to run his race. Had the Nazis defeated the Allies, there may well have been no Jews left in Europe and even further afield. But praise the Lord, Hitler, like all of his Satanically inspired predecessors who attempted to anihilate the Jewish people, perished without fulfilling their evil plans.
Whether it be an individual like Haman or Hitler, or a great and powerful empire like Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, or Rome, they all failed in their attempt to destroy the Jewish people. The reason is that they seemed to be unaware of, or ignore the fact that they are messing with “the apple of God’s eye” (Zech 2:8) And they seemed to be unaware of, or ignore the fact that the God of the people they were trying to destroy, the God of Israel, is a consuming fire. They were all consumed by the fire of the God of Israel.
And so they will continue to be. As Israel prepared to celebrate her miraculous resurrection the ungodly Jew haters of the world gathered in Geneva for the U.N. sponsored Durban II Anti- Racism conference. In attendance were representatives of some of the most evil regimes in the world, responsible for mass murder and mass torture, and not a word was spoken against them. The focus was on Israel, the tiny nation that is now being vilified in almost every nation for being the most racist nation on the planet. What a JOKE !!!
Actually its not a joke and its not funny! It is indicative of the sick state of the world. A world that, like the people of Babel, have turned their back on the true God of the universe, the God who chose the people they viciously despise. And it is very obvious to see, that the further they move away from God, the more they hate His “chosen people”. Of course I am including you in that group. You, our precious brothers and sisters in the nations, have made a ‘Ruth’ decision. You have made the God of Naomi, the God of the Jews, your God. In doing so, according to Romans 11:17, you have been grafted into the Olive Tree of the Jews. According to Eph 2:19, you are no longer ‘aliens or foreigners’, but now you are our ‘fellow citizens’. Well fellow citizens, its time to stick together, and defend the ‘homeland’ as the enemy once again attempts to destroy Israel.
Its not just the ungodly world leaders who are the enemy of Israel and the true Christians. Many people who consider themselves ’saved’ Christians are in fact making themselves the enemies of Israel, the God of Israel, and you, our grafted in fellow citizens. Of course they would deny it, but again they are motivated by the spirit of Anti-Semitism, be they leaders or the laity. Think about it – what other reason is there for a person who is looking forward to spending eternity with the God of Israel and the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, to be against Israel and for the mythical Palestinians ? They are actually opposing God and all they say they stand for.
To give you an idea of how strong that spirit of Anti-Semitism is in the Church and within organisations claiming to be Christian, particularly humanitarian aid ministries, we recently heard a radio interview with the New Zealand CEO of a Christian humanitarian aid organisation who had visited Israel and the Gaza Strip. The man who is very pro Palestinian and anti-Israel, in the most cold hearted manner, accused Israelis of having a “Holocaust mentality”. There is some truth to that, but what the heck does he expect in a country where almost every family lost loved ones, many their entire family, amongst the 6 million plus Jewish souls who were reduced to smoke and ash in the concentration camp crematoriums. The Jewish people should never forget the Holocaust and neither should the nations. That man needs to get real ! To get real with himself and to get real with God.
Sadly he is only one of a multitude who are deceived by the spirit of Anti-Semitism, which is really the spirit of Anti-Christ in disguise. If your pastor or others you know are affected by the same spirit, then pray for them. Take authority over the spirit of the Anti-Christ which has blinded and deceived them, and ask that God would have mercy on them and open their eyes to see the truth, and that He would give them His heart for His land and His people.
To finish on a positive note, Israel is now 61 years old and she is here to stay. Her covenanted destiny is to become the seat of the Kingdom of YHVH on the Earth. Jerusalem will be the undivided capital city of the nation of Israel and the Son of God, Messiah Yeshua, will reign over all the Earth from the Throne of David located in the Holy of Holies, in a rebuilt Temple in its previous position on Mt Morah. No person or spirit, no nation or empire can stand against the infinate power of the Holy One of Israel. And if you are a born again lover of the God of Israel, His land and His people, then I want to invite you to celebrate Israel’s 61st birthday along with the Jewish people. Your destiny is eternally intertwined with the destiny and future of Israel and the Jewish people. AMEN & AMEN !!!
The Lord bless you as you bless Israel by standing in defense of her right to exist on the land given to the Jewish people by the God of Israel. Lets pray that Israel will turn back to their God. Do not be silent, but share this with your fellow Christians, share it with your pastors, and with anyone you have a chance to speak to. Lets also pray for that breakthrough to the Muslims, and please remember to pray for soldiers in the IDF.
